It's all profit in the end with the long term strategy (given it works out). We can only make the best decision based off the information we know at the time we bought. Those memories definitely hurt but at the time you made those initial purchases there is a level of hesitancy based off what you knew at the time. The more you know the more you wish you bought more. And some knowledge comes with time. In the end if you trust your strategy you will come out green, you will make more money than sitting in a bank or whatnot.
As you said, based on your potential projections you might be saying the same thing buying a few at $20 a share a couple years down the line...
