Exactly. Thumbs up and light globe.
Its about the memory and breaking down the barriers to efficient, scalable and reliable processing and storage. That market alone is huge and we need to remain focused there. WBT has very exceptional parameters that should lend itself to being more performant, efficient and easier to produce than other NVM memories.
Can we stop trying to cause a contest with Brainchip please? For event stream processing, a purpose built hardware SNN like Akida, which is here now, is most likely to outperform a generic memory doing SNN particularly when you take into account the effort they've made to produce specific interfaces for particular streaming data events in hardware. Akida is designed to scale large with interfaces to support that and to take in feeds very efficiently. It will be used near term for next generation car navigation and event recognition amongst other things.
Our logical place in the near term is providing next generation supporting memory to edge devices in the first instance, some will have Akida chips in them often alongside regular CPUs as well. WBT is very early days on its AI journey and it is not the main game.
Brainchip will do very well, its use case is pretty compelling and they have been very smart in developing the supporting software tools and emulations for it already. WBT will also do very well and we have the same forward thinking in regards to ease of deployment in products, but the usable use case right now is very different.
Both technologies will have a solid future place for themselves.
Disclosure, I hold WBT and not BRN, but love the clever thinking behind both.
