Hi patawa......... a possible notice of a cross trade. Many years ago- I worked in a Broker's Office. This may have changed am not sure now.
When a Broker wants to cross a trade (one of his clients selling and one buying -same stock ) the Designated Trader (DT) (market operator) has to advise/warn the market of this type of trade by:-
1 share bid (buy) - 1 share ask (sell) one pip below / above the than market price. Then the DT enters the actual trade for what ever volume etc. Some times the DT's forget to cancel the 1 on 1 and so it looks like someone is buy/sell 1 share. Many a time I ended up with 1 share - cannot remember how it was settled now ?
Also there may be an Estate - Divorce Settlement to wind up- error in some previous trade etc some time ago. Not WBT, but a missed dividend etc etc. Or just someone playing silly bugg--s
