Given that larger companies than ours , with massive budgets have tried for over 15 years to crack the coconut of this next generation of memory , that is not only faster , holds more data , and is heat resistant , radiation hardened etc.. but it's also super easy to mass manufacture and cheaper to produce cost per bit , scalable to super low geometries and massively power efficient .
I've tried explaining this to friends and the first response is "bullshit", and yeah, there are so many advantages that are so far above the current tech that it does sound like fairy dust. They can't get their heads around that this isn't just an incremental increase in speed like they are used to seeing with CPU's / GPU's, it's a fundamental shift in tech.
