Yes it’s just a guessing game for all but the insiders and it will be interesting to see just who the first tier 1 is for sure and if it’s indeed a brand, like CH inferred, one that unfamiliar players will recognise.
With the automotive qualification link becoming stronger and stronger in recent times there could be some truck for an association with one of the tier 1 suppliers to the industry.
They being :
1. Infineon
2. NXP
3. Renesas
4. Texas Instruments
5. STMicroelectronics
Of course TSMC overarches all of the above with contract production and much of the supply but this is just concerned with the above top 5. Of them the only name that most outside of the semi industry would recognise imo would be Texas Instruments.
