I was thinking this too. Tagging on some other thoughts:
- New CEO in his opening statement in 2021 claimed he wanted to bring Intel to the head of the game once again.
- Intel are planning lay-offs.
If the CEO wants to bring this company back to the forefront, amidst lay-offs, etc. Jumping onto the next forefront of tech they are surely aware of is needed.
