In the next few weeks 22nm will leap ahead of 28nm as Tape Out singles as per WBT "Glossary" found on their web site as "The final phase of the chip design process in which the design is released to manufacturing" As coby states Tape Out is being done at a Tier One Fab.
In Melbourne it was said tier one fabs move quicker as they have more resources to "poke" at it.
