Agree, doesn't warrant a new thread in my opinion.
And put simply everyone has equal opportunity to buy when they like.
If you wish to wait and want to buy after an announcement (at potentially a much higher price) so be it, if a short seller wants to buy after an announcement that is there choice as well.
Any announcement will be released to everyone at the same time.
