just a bit more ...but not too much
reduce the distance information has to travel and you improve the system performance greatly - analog information density has a key role as neural networks use megabytes of weight (essentially filters) memory that is repeatedly accessed using excessive amounts of energy and communication latency as it travels big distances over and over again from system storage to processor ....moving through multiple capacitance in that network - this slows the system response time ( as per previous post) ....capacitance slows systems....basic electronics....remove circuit distance and you speed the system in both time and cost and importantly performance.
NVM removes this from the system greatly reducing network area / removing this 'travel' and removing the repeated charge and discharge through the system....as we know it is always on
wbt analog digital converter plus implementing resistive nvm in this system and removing all those 'system latencies' = market leader
that is the market advantage of data point collection and 'immediate' process response
it is a huge shift and wbt with CEA and partners work toward this susyem reality - we should think about the savings and ultra energy savings in this system delivery at the edge AND then overlay that cost and energy advantage with the inherent advantages we already know about the cost savings in this NVM as a competitve soc.
Apply both of those into the 'processor at the edge' an it really starts to pop just how big this will be.
Mr Molas and the team across the partner base is really at the cutting edge here
Its difficult to get your head around this stuff as its all new and in a state of development so when things appear that indicate progress its really of benefit to deep dive and try to imagine the end game being addressed ....
then I remember no one else is slotting rram into this AI edge processor for immediate data response action at the edge in all those vital categories mentioned in the previous posts and removing the latency = big $$$$ in market capture
then also remember this weebit product and the increased opportunity in this application as the team scale it to the smaller geometries ....wow!
it really is multiple shots on goal with these guys -
