whenever i think about the speed with which wbt is developing and commercialising reram . . i stop and grab a sheet of paper from the printer cartridge.

i then look at that sheet of paper and remember that it is approx 100,000 nm thick. then i try and imagine 130 nm. That would require slicing that single sheet into 769 slices. then for a full reality check i imagine slicing that sheet into 4545 slices to get to 22 nm thickness. just take a moment and imagine a single sheet of paper sliced 4545 times and how thin that is!

and if you then really want to appreciate what WBT is doing then gran some sand (silicon) that think. give it the ability to store a bookshelf full of data on a few grains . . then make it fantastically fast, ridicously resilient, super low power consumption. ohhh and make it simpler and cheaper than existing memory solutions. there are a bunch of other requrements but this should give you a good reality check of how mind boggling complex it is what WBT is doing.

qualifying wbt reram at 130nm, with all of the enhanced metrics is insane. auto qualified . . insane plus. licensing the tech with a top 10 fab . . i really do not think people.really appreciate how massive this milestone was.

the pending qualification at 22nm (below flash capabilities) will change the tech world and how SOC and NVM will ne used. WBT is on the path to rewriting how we use technology.

at the end of my reflections i thank BUD and dodgy dave for leading me to learn about WBT. then on that piece of paper i grabbed earlier i write

WBT FOR THE WIN . .. i add a smily face and i add the word PATIENCE . . because in my opinion that is all i need from here.

then i also add that every week and month that pass is just showing how deep and wide the moat will be between WBT and ReRam and whatever other techs come along in the future.
