Clearly, as a Non-executive board member, Naomi will not be supervising people in their work. She is not a line manager.
Now, in your last post you confirm that Naomi will be providing strategic marketing advice to the board. That is exactly right and I agree that is the case. It is quite a different role from supervising the work of those who are performing it.
