Def a heap of anxiety for those hoping the stock price will drop. It is incessant and a nice little signal for me. Inclusion in the 200 requires that any index funds tracking the asx 200 will be required to buy an allocation as per any rebalance.
Last time this happened entering the 300 the price exploded. Very scary situation for any down rampers. Then it was shorted. I expect the same again. Speculation here.
The next 2 weeks will be very very interesting, esp if we start to see positive announcements. Of any type. Leading into a major fab ann, shorters may think twice. Even if this explodes north again, the board sounds VERY confident of securing a deal in the next 4 months. I wont be betting against this. They are even more confident of first revenue, albeit only very small, something major funds love to see.
