"significant downside", "not going to fall"... Interesting, that does sound like a walk-back without addressing the concerns detailed out in the article that you found damning enough to point out. Whoever you were trying to "save" probably shouldn't put much stock into your claims at this point, in fact you probably walked them into the fire you believe exists.
