Lets speculate for no reason..... rolleyes.png
I assume its true the fabs can save by reducing layers.....

    Lets say a 130nm wafter costs $1000:

Adding eflash adds 20% extra, total $1200.
Adding ReRAM adds 5% extra total $1050

Cost savings of $150 to go with ReRAM.

So say you already have the internal IP for eFlash, then there needs to be a commercial justification to swap to ReRAM.
Lets say the split is 50/50 to DB HiTek an Weebit.

DB save $75 per wafer and Weebit earns $75 per wafer.

If Weebit try to charge much more than $100 then the foundries wouldn't bother.
WBT can also charge a fee to the end customer for using ReRAM i think.

Costs are higher at the 22/28nm range, profits are higher..... so the contract with Global Foundries is much more critical the DB Hitek IMO.

DB Hitek is really just a stepping stone to prove the technology, the real money will come with GF one the smaller nodes.
