Are people that naive. The shorters are making billions for their parent companies.
A little story.
I worked for a company which was a combo of 3 conglomerates. 1 that selled raw materials, 1 that was a world leader in logistics, and 1 that sold a very value added product.
The logistics company bought in very expensive raw materials at a very expensive logistical cost. The product company bought the very cheap product that was produced. Go figure, we were losing money arse over tit. How do you think the 3 conglomerates fared? They made millions upon millions!
