normally in this business the tech must have a killer application that will lead to volume production by the foundries
wbt is being adopted in reverse if you will . ie foundries recognise the cost advantage to them and move on it
this was unexpected for wbt - the road plan was tier 2 foundries as the entry point to allow them cost advantage leveraging market share on the tier 1s'
the killer application is flash replacement as it won't scale below 20um - but the bigger case for adoption is that volume / cost energy advantage wbt presents and tier 1s' moving on it validate that adoption advantage - its a global advantage in every aspect as well
waiting for that customer is painful no question - I guess no one here saved for that footy when they were a kid - months and months at 20c a time for the odd jobs that eventually filled the CBA bank savings tins - 2 full tins got me that footy( think mum and dad chipped in at the store as well) - funny where you learn patience and its rewards
