Pretty sure he did update shareholders (can't remember if it was AGM or one of the Meet the CEO things) but in essence the customer was keen to use WBT's reram but ended up also needing some other IP that Skywater didn't have. Rather than hold up production while Skywater secured a license and did the tape out, production run and testing) for the missing IP the customer went into production elsewhere (probably wherever they previously had their chips manufactured).
The plan, however, is to come back to Skywater (and WBT) for the next iteration or the product - but that will be some ways away I'd imagine.
