Funny you say that matey because a similar incident happened to me as well!. I was at a bar and grill joint in the city last month after work with some work mates. We were having a good laugh and also talking about shares/investing and about any stock code tips I can give them to put their money in (i give a few mates some tips sometimes on stock codes.. etc) and suddenly a man who smelled like a he had drank a whole gallon of pale ale (beer) walked upto where we were sitting...I was wondering why the man was just standing close by and just staring at us for a while but since he looked like he was heavily on the piss, I ignored him. Apart from appearing drunk, the man was well groomed and well dressed, it looked like he was dressed to leave as well as he had put his gloves on to go outside)... 'how ya's going lads?' he asked, 'yer not bad mate, gee you've had a few tonight ay?' a friend of mine replied. Then after a few more questions, the stranger told us that he had overheard us talking about stock tips and that he wanted to also join in the fun and 'tip us off'! Suddenly, he reaches into his bag and pulls out a tissue with some writing on it and some coins stuck on it... (He let me take a picture of it and it is the image below).
The tissue had
MPJ written on it and he said the coins represented price targets for the next couple of months ahead and for the start of the new financial year and onwards!
He also said that he would never tip anyone of like this because he's got a bit of insider info on the stock... and the reason he is doing it tonight is that he is drunk and won't remember tomorrow that this even happened.When I got home, I looked the company up and decided to put some money into it... (he was drunk and he had
insider info that he wouldn't usually share when he's sober,
bargain!!!) So yeah, that's the story of me being in this speculative yet potentially highly rewarding play! What can go wrong?
