    As I understand it the controlled burn underground is in parallel trenches leaving benches of coal behind to prevent subsidence. Perhaps it is from these benches that the CSM can then be extracted? ..Just as Denben mentioned in last post??
    Ugc is far more efficient (* times I think?0 So I guess that is why you take as much coal as you can then go back and get CSM from the remainder?
    On other hand a company RG is associated with claims to be able to turn underground coal directly to liquids underground thus saving the expense of a Gas to Liquid plant on the surface. If this develops successfully it may well make UGC redundant before it starts in commercial production.
