The subsequent trading action depends on whether the harmonic pattern is bullish or a bearish pattern. For example, in the case of the harmonic bat, the picture below shows the bullish harmonic bat and the bearish harmonic bat pattern. The subsequent action normally takes the direction of the RED ARROW that I have drawn on the respective bat pattern. The completion of a bullish bat will lead to a subsequent uptrend, so that once the bat pattern is completed, he will be looking at a re-entry or an entry at low prices. Conversely if the bat pattern is a bearish bat pattern, then the subsequent price action is denoted by the direction of the down arrow, so that the trader will look at taking profits or sell.
