That's a fallacy imo.
If you don't need to access any of the money you have in the market then the market can be as irrational as it likes.
Provided you have made intelligent stock choices at value prices for a rational market then you will come out ahead when the market becomes rational once again.
If you have invested in "dog stocks" - well that's a different matter.
