Claim of upto $ 10,000 (with 22% tax on taxable component) based on 26 weeks of centrelink benefit payment has already been there. Nothing specifically to do with COVID19 (unless I am missing something). Problem is if tax payer is out of work due to COVID19 it takes more then few weeks for centrelink to start payment and then 26 weeks wait time.
