It feels like we are walking to the edge of the cliff, the question is when to sell it all up and wait for the fall (I've sold 50% and very happy), we are very very close IMO.

The USA is in a massive mess with NO growth behind it (ageing population and the X gen coming through peak spending (47 years of age) - of course the pill reduced birth rates in the mid 1960's when X gen arrived, so peak consumption in the whole of the western world has arrived and that is why we are having the GFC - there are 3 to 5 years to go before the clean up is done and the bottom reached IMO (previous credit practices that suited an expanding economy as growth came through - last 20 to 30 years YOY now are not appropriate and will fail big time, hence banks reaction to the situation), including Australia ... and we have next decade to deal with the contraction as it wasn't until 1975 that births started increasing again).
