Looking at the chart for WEB, at a glance the current day's range compared with that of two days ago looks very similar and we may conclude that there was less effort in volume for the same result in range — looking like there was some upward ease of movement. But when adding true range we can see that the volume and range are in sync. At first, it may appear like a good close but on examination shows the close is nearer the middle of the true range rather than higher up.
