a quick look at the monthly S&P500 chart

only a couple days left for their August to complete so all should be fine with this current volume

have changed the volume from the typical bars to a line chart.. it may show the volume spikes/turns easier

note the previous two highs in 2000 and 2007 both had their volume spikes

also it can be seen on mostly all the small dips and major reversals - such as mid 2002 and of course 2009.

but atm no such volume spike/s can be seen way up here

if you like pull up a monthly chart with just the volume displayed as the typical bars and check them out at the turns
