A-VIX.
I haven't been following the A-VIX for long enough to really get a handle on how it can be interpreted.
But yesterday's action was a bit odd. Here's a long term (About Six Months) view of A-VIX:
Despite yesterday's very bullish action on the stock market, A-VIX barely moved from the previous day's close. Under such bullish conditions one would expect a big drop in the A-VIX.
Here's the intra-day chart for A-VIX (from ASX web-site):
With the strong opening in stocks, A-VIX fell strongly on opening - but then climbed steadily for the rest of the day.
This looks to me like hedging against further falls in the stock market.
