And just to show that I learnt that lesson one of recent memory is AUT . I was onto the shale thing near the beginning and by my reckoning the most prospective by a long way was AUT . I started buying them in the 20's I think ,kept buying into the 50's when the GFC hit . I didn't sell a share and when they got back near single figures again I started reloading . It took a while but by the time they got back to 50 or so I was miles in front . Eventually they got taken out a couple of years ago at 4.20 . If I'd never made mistakes I wouldn't have had the courage to keep loading on the gift the market was giving me and ignore the market conditions.
Bloody lucky though ,they'd be well under a dollar now after the oil shock . Sometimes you get a break
