I share your thoughts exactly. It does create inconsistencies when charting. Robbbbbb thinks the same and charts the SPI instead.
I trade XJO on IGmarkets' Australia 200 Cash. It's an index future so it trades 24hrs. However IG's charting package gives me the ability to choose the times I want to include on the chart. IG tracks the real XJO quite well during the day so will be an accurate chart.
I will have a look at setting it up to start at 10:10 and finish at 16:10 and post a daily chart for you later today. If someone can beat me to it all the better as I'm busy this morning.
