1) batteries will be much more efficient and cheaper in the near future. ZCell from redflow is a superior battery which can be charged and 100% drained. Also can be easily recycled. Supposedly it won't loose any capacity for 10 years. 17500 - 19000 for a system. Still too expensive for me but I can see it half of that in a couple of years
2) with more efficient ways of generating elictricy. (BAPV/BIPV or efficient solar panels coupled with DYE technology) we will need way less roof space hence have more space for more super efficient panels and can easely fill up the batteries in a day, even in winter.
