If Trump doesn’t backtrack on his foolish 145% series of tariff hikes on China, whilst grovelling and squirming so as to look even more foolish and contrite, the US (and China) are in for a world of hurt.
The difference is that China will work through the pain and emerge stronger, but America has a soft consumerist underbelly and won’t cope with the coming hardship.
