The fool does a nice job of explaining in detail what I was trying to say about batteries and the race to the bottom (lower battery cost & sales). It's a very rough ride down to continue to outprice yourself. This article is on solar but I feel that it will play out the same for battery manufacturers and quite possibly EV manufacturers in the short term. Most of the early EV manufacturers are loosening money on their first models trying to keep them cheap enough to compete.
