    The data pre 1982 gets more guestimate the further it goes back. Based a lot on eyeballing old charts and approximating yearly highs and lows so just a rough view.

    Also indices were constructed differently etc.

    As for dates, I have no yearly chart function so I fudged the data into a daily chart format so the dates at the bottom are meaningless. I have placed the vertical lines on the "0" years, ie. 1930/1940/1950 etc so hope that helps.
