A coupe of points I have been thinking about lately which fit to some extent in with commodities weakening-
- Gold is normally soft in June/July

- Maybe we will see a weakening in the commodities that are traded due to funds pulling their funds and investing back into the US markets.
- The US dollar will possibly increase short term which would also put pressure on the falling price of commodities.
- In my opinion we will see a temporary reprive in the oil price which will help the US markets and confidence.
Fundamentally I do not see the demand for commodities changing, but in the short term the markets will ignore the fundamentals and move with the trend to US markets.
Anyway that is my ramblings on a sunny afternon in London - yes it is sometimes sunny here.
