A minor contribution and I'm sure someone will be more familiar with the historical record.
I have started watching the McClellan indicators only recently.
With the summation index it does seem that the angle of movement is a clue to whether it is a new trend or not.
Forgive my free hand drawing but it does seem that the summation index is respecting horizontal support.
I have no idea how high it can can as I don't have any history, but the number is getting up towards a positve of the low number and I figure that must have been extreme.
Hope someone knows much more than I do.![]()
