There's been a bit of talk here about the credability of the stats reported. I know of a house auctioned this weekend just gone, only two bystanders showed up so the auction was cancelled. I guess it wouldn't go down as passed in as it was cancelled.

This raises a few interesting questions for me. How many get cancelled therefore withdrawn from sales results? Or maybe they do include these? I put my place up for auction in what turned out to be the worst weekend for auctions during the GFC. It was passed in, however we still had over a dozen at the auction and one genuine bidder. These two houses are less than 2km's apart. Probably just bad luck for this fella, but it's someting for all the mega bears to smile about. Keep in mind we are talking beach houses, not family homes. It does have me wondering if its going to be a long cold winter for the humble beach house.
