What, that's the only alternative to selling at the top of a frenzy and leaving some mug punter with expensive shares while director exits stage right? Dont you think a chairman is in a privileged postion to assess whether the shares are being over-priced at the time by the market?
Then to be told that funds were needed from this particular source for a mortgage settlement, right as the price peaked. That doesn't seem a bit disingenuous?
I question whether highly paid officers with intimate knowledge of a company should sell at all really - Referring to those shares or options that they get as remuneration and have not been paid for on market. When they leave should be ok.
