Takes a while to get your eye in when looking for them hey,
Usually they will have narrow spreads, and the majority of the bar trades lower than the previous close, on lower volume.
Quite often you will see an 'attempt to test', or a bit of a wonky looking test, usually this happens when the wider market would like to test, but the retailers keep bidding it higher (too much enthusiasm). When this happens the wider market will usually not support the rise, and once the buying eases a bit, a more conventional test occurs.
