Thanks for the response. My response was more from a view I was unsure about the direction after the small gap up. I can only watch the market occasionally at work during breaks and it was more to protect the profits and step aside if it did reverse. It is a very cut and dried approach.
With your idea I hadn't thought of doing that, I'll give it some thought. I am quite happy to buy stocks again when the direction is clearer and your method would keep my finger in the pie. That is how I like to buy into stocks to start with.
