    @joewolf. A good idea in principle. I guess it depends on your reasons for investing in GC1. For me, it was a small dividend, and the opportunity to be in a dynamic small fund, able to be nimble, and to rely on MGs “expert” knowledge and stock picking skills to increase NTA and ultimately the SP.
    I wouldn’t mind cessation of the div so much if those cash returns went straight to the bottom line. Even if they did go to the bottom line, there is no guarantee that GC1 wouldn’t be like 99% of LICs where the SP trails the NTA by a significant margin. I don’t know if MG actually holds any units in GC1, perhaps his dough is in the larger fund; yep, I know that he refers to us as his fellow investors, but with SPs trailing NTAs all over the place, his pockets have to be deeper than mine. When it comes down to it, I see that there are two issues.... one, the performance of the fund, and secondly the SP discount to NTA. And we know that with LICs, these discrepancies can continue almost unabated. The only way out for the SH, is to sell and take the hit.
