Well unfortunately if the company had kept onto their PNG assets we might be close to 32 cents already! The P'nyang gas agreement was signed around a month ago so the small family team at the Arran Energy head office must be feeling very satisfied with their bargain buy.
I hope HZN would get bought out for a premium, but then.....who would want to buy the assets considering the new NZ legislation, CNOOC (govt) partnership and short lifespan of the company assets? In the past the PNG jewels would have been the main catalyst for investor and corporate interest. Let's see if the notion of a takeover gains any attention. Going by their track record I doubt existing management have the capability to extract full value should an offer be received.
