ATTN Ralph5:re: Weight Loss - A question of maths? Thanx for the thoughts....

I weight train 4x per week and do 4-5 aerobic sessions a week

I am on a high protein/moderate fat/low carb regime at the moment and have lost about 4.5kg in the past 6 weeks - in my view almost all of it body fat. All up ~2400cal p/day.

I'm pretty strong - doing say benches at 3 sets of 8 reps with 145kg, incline dumbell press at 3x8 with 50kg each side, curling 3X8 of 25kg each hand and dead-lifting 3x6 of 295kg.

What I am after is a mathematical way to satisfy him so that if I had more fat to lose than him (not heavier - more body fat) he feels its fair.

I guess I agree with him that a 1:1 ratio may not be completely fair. I mean taken to the nth degree if he was at say comp levels and @ say 3% he'd lose virtually 0% no matter how hard he tried - yet I could xconceivably lose 5-10%.

    See what we mean???

But what ratio would taking into account the relative starting points.
