    Well done Septa

    Gday Fluffy and peoples,

For muscle growth, many factors would have to be considered before prescription imo, such as current diet, type of exercises (action, sets, reps, etc), and other physical activities, past injuries and all duty of care.

Usually for muscle growth, you would look at using a heavy weight with low reps. Rather then light weight with high reps. Weight is normally increased by 500gm-1kg a week for a four week cycle, depending on the person. All exercises should be done correctly, no swinging monkey. Core muscles should be activated, even with a bicep curl. If your current weight is way too light, try slowing down the exercise. Or try supersets, if it was a bicep curl....5 full curls, then 5 1/2 way up 5 1/2 way down, then another 5 full curls as a set. 4 sets should see some veins expanding, no swinging.

Diet- Calories in vs Calories burnt. Then break down what type of calories, carbs, proteins, for fine tuning. Times food are taken is important. Fluid intake is also important.

A little trick to help biceps get bigger is to work your triceps harder. Triceps are the biggest muscle on the arm, and has the opposing action to the bicep. The bicep will need to get stronger and usually bigger to keep things in balance. Blood supply with nutrients are increased to the area.

Don't forget to stretch, a healthy muscle should have tone and be flexible.
