at what point will oil get to a price in which it will force all world economies into a depression?
At what point will oil get to a price where other sources of energy will be more sought after than oil based ones?
There is a threshold for both - and other technologies certainly currently exist to replace oil.
but at what price will it be? $200, $250 ... $400?
