This will do for speakers what LCD and LED did for displays. You don't see many CRT displays any more. The possibility that AP may succeed and control the patents for it is what keeps the value of this company high. Sure, they might never succeed. If they had already succeeded this would be worth multiples more. Manufacturers who use the resultant chips will be making audio products that are smaller, more power efficient, have better audio quality and greater levels of control. There will be no shortage of customers if they can get this working reliably. There was some market research done a couple of years ago. I suggest you go have a look.
