Only a small percentage were white trash..Certainly Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra were affluent members of the UK and we have had excellent immigrants, German, Italian and some from Hong Kong when it was handed back in 1999. The founding fathers have provided a safe haven, where previously everyone could afford a house, medical and a reasonably well paid job...Over the last twenty years that has disappeared. But you can just in France (most likely on some rorted welfare deal) and throw stones from the far peanut gallery..A habit you probably learnt early in life...
