    Hi crystalvoyager,

I'm not sure you're that well informed old fruit, in fact I'm almost certain you're not!

Have you ever imagined yourself living in a Burmese refugee camp for 17 years, yes that's correct 17 YEARS on 3 UNICEF meals a day.

A UNICEF meal consists of (depending on your family size) 1 cup of a grain, one cup of protein (beans) some salt & some sugar! Now I'm betting you are thinking you should have thought more before posting ;)

I cannot begin to imagine having been in a camp as described above for that length of time & then having an opportunity to come to a country such as Australia.

Refugees make up around 7% of Australia's total annual immigration with approx 1/3 of those entering Australia coming from Burma.

Did you happen to know that the largest percentage of those entering Australia that bring with them diseases are in fact students & qualified (Engineers & the like) entrants, not refugees as many would suggest.

    Some food for thought.
