it costs several hundred dollars a day to run an aged care bed - probably about 500 a day - if we go on the means tested costs per day to the residents - up to $471 a day
so - if the government is stumping up almost 500 a day to keep this woman in high care accommodation
would it not be obviously cheaper, better and a better investment to put her in a $300 a day hotel
cheaper, she's happier, she's healthier --------------------- not particularly difficult to think through - is it?
