re: deal with Rio . . . THX This is a post from the THX board on Stockhouse dated 1/8/02 . . . . . so much for companies keeping the market "fully informed"

"I was out at Belmont races this afternoon and picked up bits of a conversation between a couple of suited 50+'s.
I relay the gist of this conversation without any knowledge of who the participants were or whether they have actual knowledge or were just flapping their lips . . . . but it sounded pretty convincing to me.
The words Thunelarra & nickel initially grabbed my attention
The conversation was centred around RIO becoming involved and bringing with it plenty of capital and expertise to get the thing up and running. The tenor of the conversation was that there were no ifs or maybes, it was already a done deal.

Perhaps this is the JV being rumoured . . . or perhaps it was just a couple of punters speculating on the rumours ??? Just thought I'd pass it on for comment"
