I hadn't realised that Victoria had also become a police state. A few months ago the Victorian politicians were boasting about how they took a community-building approach to maintaining social order, not a "lock 'em all up and throw away the key" approach. It seems that didn't last long and now we can be stopped and strip-searched at the whim of anyone in a police uniform.
