This initiative from Wayne Swan and the ALP is quite disgusting.
They'd already changed the rules so that single parents had to find a job once their kids turn 6. Now they are saying to single parent families that they need to live on $80 or $90 per week less ie. move to the dole instead of parents payment.
Now, I'm no genius, but I'm guessing this policy will punish children of single parents to an alarming extent.
Meanwhile, politicians grant themselves bi-annual pay rises and feast on free travel, food and other generous allowances.
Shorten says $330k is not enough to live on. Lucky for him he has friends in the Labor Party and isn't stuck at home with kids.
